The Fade Shop was a materialized dream of Ozell Graham in 1996. While serving in the US Army during Operation Joint Endeavor, Ozell had a vision to help soldiers boost morale and cope with being away from their families, so he started to cut hair in his tent and a fellow soldier even hand crafted a sign to place outside his tent. Even then, The Fade Shop went beyond the call of duty giving free haircuts to kids at a local orphanage in Taszar , Hungary.

Ozell served eight years in the US Army and then decided to take steps towards fulfilling his dream of owning a salon. He graduated from Arthur's Beauty School in Jacksonville , Arkansas in 2000 and moved to Dallas in 2001. His dream finally came true in 2005 when he opened the doors to his first shop in North Dallas.

Now with a second location in McKinney, Texas The Fade Shop continues to provide exceptional service to the community and has serviced several high profile clients, including national recording artists Nelly, Usher, Snoop Dogg, and Ludacris and current professional athletes such as Roy Williams , Josh Howard, Chris Paul, Greg Buckner, Brandon Bass, Deron Williams, and Marcus Spears. The Fade Shop also features a clothing, shoe, and accessories department.
